The first iQuadgen® application is a super efficient, three phased combined heat and power plant named CHiP with a potential overall efficiency of 90%.  The heat source is provided by either a bio-engine or a fuel cell.

Generic CHiP

CHiP can both replace the current pressure reduction process and operate in parallel to enhance the process. It has been designed to achieve an overall electrical efficiency level of ca. 70%.

The overall efficiency of the plant will be boosted to more than 90% if the excess heat produced can be used for district heating,
