iQuadgen

iQuadgen

iQuadgen®, 2OC’s power generation application platform, integrates high performance technologies, such as turbo expanders and fuel cells, with the harvesting of natural earth processes, such as solar and geothermal energy, around gas pressure reduction stations. It delivers a number of highly efficient, distributed, low carbon, sustainable energy generation applications including CHP, CSP and cooling and powering data-centres.

turbo-expander

Turbo Expander

Supported by intellectual property rights (patents available for inspection) and know-how, the iQuadgen® platform represents innovative and novel integration of proven technologies providing sustainable power generation on a commercial scale not previously envisaged.

Generic CHiP

The first iQuadgen® application is a super efficient, three phased combined heat and power plant named CHiP with a potential overall efficiency of 90%. The heat source is provided by either a bio-engine or a fuel cell.

Hybrid CSP

This innovative hybrid plant design would reduce the development cost for a typical CSP plant from $17.5 million per MW to $5.4 million per MW at today’s prices.

Hybrid data centres

2OC’s iQuadgen® hybrid data centres, located at gas pressure reduction stations, will achieve a true PUE ratio of 1.45 compared to the true industry PUE ratio of 4.35.
