Tony Taylor joined 2OC shortly after its establishment in 2005. Together with founder CEO, Andrew Mercer, and CTO, Edward Zakrzewski, Tony was responsible for developing the commercial and technological platforms upon which 2OC has built its business and for concluding the joint venture agreement with National Grid.
His primary responsibility has been overseeing the design of 2OC’s innovative renewable energy plants and putting in place contracts with the key suppliers for the development of these plants.
Prior to joining 2OC, Tony was CEO for five years of the animal feed manufacturer and arable merchant, Dalgety Group Limited. This followed the £50m management buy-out of Dalgety Agriculture Limited from Dalgety PLC he led in 1998, supported by KPMG and NatWest. In his capacity as CEO, he was responsible for setting strategy and executing the extensive disposals programme and then reorganising the subsequent business.
